If you like catfish then this is a park you have to visit. The 26,000 acre Choke Canyon Reservoir is a catfishing haven, and is really good for bass fishing as well. Birders love the hiking trails and the large numbers and varieties of birds attracted to the water and upland habitats, including many Mexican species of birds.
