Kenya's president-elect William Ruto has asked his competitors in the recently concluded presidential elections to put their differences aside and work for the betterment of Kenya. Ruto's remarks came shortly after the Supreme Court of Kenya unanimously upheld his election, paving the way for his swearing into office next week. The ruling arose from a petition filed by Raila Odinga, two weeks ago challenging Ruto's win. Raila and other seven petitioners claimed that the presidential election was characterized by widespread fraud and asked Court to annul the victory of William Ruto.
