In June 2025, Yale University and Max Planck Institute organized a conference on the island of Helgoland, where 100 years earlier Werner Heisenberg formulated the uncertainty principle, enabling the field of quantum mechanics to be formed. These are the talks from that conference.
Angelo Bassi is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Trieste and one of the world's leading experts on collapse models — modifications of quantum mechanics (such as GRW and CSL) that predict wavefunction collapse as a real physical process. His work connects theory to experiment, identifying tests that could distinguish standard quantum mechanics from collapse theories.
