Описание: In 2011, X Factor saw a shuffle with new judges who mentored acts in their own categories. After a history of strong competition between judges, all new members of the panel were eager to win. Kelly Rowland initially had the strongest category with unique and original artists Misha B and Janet Devlin, marked as the early bookies favourites after outstanding performances in the early stages. When the live shows started, the girls continued to perform well until a few weeks in, when manipulations came into play. Tulisa lost two of her group acts in the first 2 weeks, and felt the pressure. As a new young band member herself, she was eager to use her platform as a judge on the X Factor to advance her solo career, and have a similar career to Cheryl Cole before her who had strong success through the show, and needed the exposure more than the already established Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland. As things weren’t looking good for her and more in favour of Kelly’s girls, she pulled out a malicious card and publicly accused Kelly’s act, Misha B, of being “feisty, competitive and mean” backstage to her group Little Mix. After Misha’s outstanding performance, Tulisa only made comments to defame her character to the nation, resulting in the public and press perceiving her differently and ruining her chances in progressing with the public votes and support. The following week, Misha found herself in the bottom two of the public vote, and every 2 weeks after until the semi-finals, missing out on her rightful place in the final as the best vocalist and performer in the competition. With manipulation from the producers, the show were eager for a group to win the series for the first time in history, and a young new judge mentoring them was their plan to help her advance her career. Kelly Rowland’s acts, Janet Devlin and Misha B were sabotaged by the producers and judges to pave the way for Little Mix, a girl group put together by the show who originally came as solo artists that were initially sent away at the bootcamp stage. The show created a girl group to appeal to the masses as average, normal and relatable girls that the younger demographics would get behind, instead of vision, originality and versatility. With poor performances, they were able to increase their votes and public support through sympathy, campaigning and Tulisa’s determination. Kelly Rowland’s act Janet Devlin was a threat in the public votes, coming at the top for the first half of the live shows, and the producers slowly increased the threat level by giving her poor song choices that didn’t suit her, styling her poorly and changing arrangements to her songs to make her forget her words. As Little Mix were given big productions, styling and backing tracks to hide their poor vocals with big moments, they became the chosen winner. Misha B and Janet Devlin missed out on the final to the ‘safer’ acts who appealed to the masses while Little Mix triumphed in victory. Misha and Janet have come forward and talked about how the manipulations on the show impacted their mental health and careers. They deserve justice for how they were treated.
