Well, the blazer brigade have done it again.
After, what I would argue, one of the most successful periods of Australian cricket, Cricket Australia’s decision to only offer a short-term extension to Justin Langer’s contract as the coach of the Australian men’s cricket team, have forced Langer to resign.
I have always said that, in sport, you must let the scoreboard do the talking.
The scoreboard for Justin Langer and the Australian cricket team screams success. The Ashes series against England was won convincingly, and the Australians won the T20 World Cup for the first time.
Justin Langer is passionate about the game and, along with Tim Paine, turned the show around.
The treatment of Langer by Cricket Australia will go down as one of the most disgraceful decisions in Australian sporting history.
