Big Boost for Amaravati | Centre Clears Mega Secretariat Project

Описание: The Union Cabinet has approved the construction of a Central Secretariat complex in Amaravati at an estimated cost of ₹2,534 crore, marking a major milestone for Andhra Pradesh's capital development plans.

The project includes a Common Central Secretariat worth ₹1,299 crore to accommodate various central government departments and offices. In addition, a multi-storied residential complex for central government employees will be developed at a cost of ₹1,235 crore.

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has already allocated land for both projects. The approval is expected to strengthen Amaravati’s position as an important administrative hub and accelerate infrastructure development in the capital region.

Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar is reported to have played a key role in coordinating with the Centre for the project's approval.
