The full AIRWOLF DOCUMENTARY was originally intended as an unprecedented 3-HOUR documentary film, detailing in-depth, the incredible and fascinating story behind one of the most expensive, cinematic and complicated television productions, the documentary.

Produced & Directed by long-time fan MARTIN GRANT, it was self-financed initially before he issued a public-funding round on IndieGogo. It entailed an extensive 5-week shoot across the USA in 2012 both for Martin and his lighting cameraman, ERIC SHEPHERD.

They were able to reach 40+ of surviving CAST & CREW (unfortunately Ernie Borgnine wasn't available before his death in 2012, and Jan-Michael Vincent's interview fell through the night before), including 10 guest stars in California, Oregon, Texas and Massachusetts (coast-to-coast). 2 further interviews were shot before in England, bringing the total number of interviewed people to 42, with further set of interviews filmed later in March 2013.

It was intended as a thorough & profound look into the triumphs, challenges and problems faced by two sets of casts, crews, studios and networks during the divided 3 years plus one that "AIRWOLF" had in production. However, numerous budget problems and production delays have put the project on the shelf (it seems) unfortunately, with no further communication to the public about it from Martin since 2019.
