YouTube currently requires a debit or credit card to pay for Channel Memberships.

For Ugandans who would like to use Mobile Money to pay, you can use your MTN or Airtel Mobile Money account to generate a virtual debit card that works just like a normal bank card online.

Here’s how to go about it:

Option 1: MTN MoMo Virtual Mastercard
How to Create & Use:

Dial *165*70# on your MTN line.

Choose Option 1: Create Virtual Card.

MTN will send you your virtual card details via SMS:
Card number
Expiry date
CVV code

Important Step:
You must transfer funds from your MTN Mobile Money wallet to the virtual card before you can use it.

Dial *165*70# again

Choose Option 2: Top Up Card
Enter the amount you want to load onto the card
Once you have topped up, go to YouTube, click Join on the channel, and select "Add credit/debit card."

Enter the virtual card details and proceed with the payment.

Option 2: Airtel Money Virtual Mastercard
Please note: This option can only be accessed through the Airtel Money App, not USSD.

Steps:
Download and open the My Airtel app from the Play Store or App Store.
Go to the Airtel Money section and tap "Airtel Money Global Pay Card".
Generate your virtual Mastercard – you will see:
Card number
Expiry date
CVV code

Top up your virtual card using the option in the app to transfer funds from your Airtel Money wallet.

Open YouTube, tap Join under the Kisembo Business channel.
Add the card details as a new payment method, then proceed to join the membership.



Make sure the amount you top up includes the YouTube membership fee plus a little extra to account for currency conversion or small transaction fees.
