In this video, we walk you through the external design of the Lehr 5.0 HP carburetor. Areas covered are: fuel inlet port, air intake, engine manifold port, and throttle needle valve.
Our shop has seen two of these motors from customers covered by Lehr's warranty with throttle needle valves stuck in the carb's valve chamber. It's important to understand that the cylindrical needle valve is slotted to fit in one orientation into the carburetor. This video describes the correct positioning of the throttle needle valve so that it doesn't bind or get stuck in the keyed shaft it slides in and out of.
