This is phase two of the centralized controller (SDN logic) created for monitoring IoT networks. The controller communicates with the sink only. All other nodes do send data via the sink, on a request basis.
In this video, there are two attackers (No 11,15) in an RPL network. The attackers are implementing two attacks at the same time: Rank attack (mild, so it is more difficult to discover) and gray-hole attack (again, more challenging). After a grace period (too many DIO, DAO at the beginning), the controller starts kMeans algorithm. The algo unattended starts monitoring the network. It divides the network into two groups, attacked and normal. The attacked group is then run via kosaraju algo to determine how many strongly connected graphs (so, how many attacks take place). Then in each sub-graph, the "mother-node" is identified. Those are the attackers.
