Описание: Just another one of my "keep me entertained" during COVID lock-down videos. Probably only makes sense to ZX Spectrum fans of a certain age. However, the only actual Sinclair items here are, the Interface 1 attached to the Spectrum NEXT, and the microdrive case that is housing Charles Ingley's creatively designed vDriveZX. Amazingly, you can create multiple "banks" of up to 8 virtual Microdrives with the vDriveZX and, as it uses Sinclair's Interface 1, programs that read and write to actual microdrives, like the demo program running, work exactly as they would with real microdrives. This is not the case with other SD Card based loaders for the Spectrum that I am aware of. The vDriveZX also looks pretty much like the real thing inside an original microdrive case. Apart from the SD Card, the only noticeable difference is that it beeps rather than "whirrs" like the motor of a real microdrive – but believe it or not someone has even made a vDriveZX add on that makes the whirring sound too! The vDriveZX also enables you to copy preserved virtual microdrive images (.mdrs) to a real microdrive, so you can recreate real microdrive cartridges with programs on them that were designed specifically for cartridges. Using the vDriveZX also preserves your real microdrives and cartridges, which of course are no longer made. It is also a 100% reliable, unlike the originals!
