Описание: Called the creators and curators of forests, Asian elephant numbers have declined severely in India.According to the All-India Synchronous Elephant Estimation in 2025, India's wild Asian elephant population stands at just under 23,000.We visited one of India's only elephant hospitals, the Wildlife SOS Elephant Hospital in Uttar Pradesh, which opened in 2018, to see how treatment and care are vital to preserving the species.Conservation efforts and positive human intervention are more critical than ever to ensure this socially and culturally significant species does not die out.
