The European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare, or EDQM, which is part of the Council of Europe, has been protecting public health for millions of people in Europe and beyond since 1964.
Before a medicine is dispensed to you at the pharmacy or in hospital, the EDQM, supported by 37 European countries and the European Union, as well as an increasing number of observer countries and organisations from around the world, has contributed directly to guaranteeing its quality within Europe.
