I always have trouble every month or so with Fall Guys, ever since Epic Games took over falls guys it's become more & more difficult to get it to run over time

Usually I can get it to run inside Heroic Games Launcher but LAST WEEK I learned that ```It no longer works as of this month's update. They appear to have deleted the Linux runtime from the depot.```

I usually use the AppImage but you can use the FlatPak if you want

but no matter what I tried it wouldn't work

So I decided to use BOTTLES

this one is only a FlatPak it doesn't have an AppImage option sadly

Basically here's the process written out in text to install the Epic Games Store for Windows app inside Bottles environment under Linux

I'm currently Using Bazzite https://bazzite.gg/ which is a Gaming Centric version of Fedora Kinoite:

Basically it makes your computer look & feel kinda like a steam deck

but this procedure should work on every modern linux distribution

so you're going to want to go to the Epic Game store website:

the website will detect that you're on Linux and might not let you actually download the installer so you might need to install a USER AGENT Switcher SPOOFER:

you basically search for "user agent" in the search box & pick the one with the highest number of positive ratings:

you open up the user agent switcher extension & set it for windows 10 or windows 11 it doesn't matter the browser & then you activate it

sometimes you need to refresh the page for it to work

then when you press download it will then send you the windows executable to download

after it's finished downloading open BOTTLES

it will take a while depending on your system if it is your first time running BOTTLES

after it finishes you click the ++++++++++++++++ in the UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER

a dialogue will open that will say CREATE NEW BOTTLE

name it whatever you want but i chose EpicGamesStore

make sure to select the GAMING GAMING GAMING radio button please do not select Application or Custom

make sure the Runner is SODA 9.0.1

then click the big blue CREATE

(((if that's not available go into the preferences HAMBURGER three horizontal lines menu to download them)))

click the big blue RUN EXECUTABLE & find the EpicGamesStore installer EXE MSI & click run \ open

you're going to have to press the RIGHT FACING PLAY BUTTON TRIANGLE several times just to make sure the Epic Games Store is installed properly it'll also force you to install some runtime dependencies
