This film was taken at the London Transport Northern Line Morden Depot open day in 1990 which was part of the centenary celebrations (100 years) of what is now known as the Northern Line (1890 - 1990).
The trains seen include:
*pre-1938 "Standard Stock" cars which had been given a second life on the Isle of Wight,
*a battery locomotive,
*a 1938 tube stock train (including a ride inside),
*several trains of the 1959 tube stock (including one named NED) and
*the experimental fleet liveries for 1967 & 1972 tube stock trains which were about to be refurbished.
1973 stock trains are seen, but most footage of these trains has been held back for a different film.
The film comprises S-VHS video and 35mm slides, with mostly live sound. The slides and video footage near to them feature added music...
