Within the desolate and horrific Tooth apartment filled with abominable monsters, we find Joel. A young boy who still has his senses and surprisingly doesn’t seem very affected by him and his family morphing into toothy monsters. We find him brushing all of his new teeth as his face has begun to transform into a giant toothy hole from being bitten by his baby sister. We see Joel transform in real time as his teeth grow into the rest of his head, but we can bring his sanity back by finding his Teddy Bear and showing it to him. He then thanks us and gives us the doorknob needed to explore the apartments further, where we can find his mother. Entering a battle with her will allow us to report back to Joel letting him know we found her and here we can recruit him into the party. Joel is extremely powerful with the right build as he uses his new teeth offensively and if he strikes the finishing blow on enemies, he will devour them which permanently increases his max HP, giving him one of the greatest potentials of all the party members.
