Corke agreed, stressing the need for transparency: “We’ve seen stories like this play out where it turns out there were co-conspirators up and down the line. There will be more questions — about the roommate, about others he may have communicated with, who may have had a hand in the drop of that particular weapon. We just don’t know.”

The hosts also highlighted strange details: Robinson was seen on video descending from the roof without a visible gun. “That means he must have taken it apart, put it in his backpack. But then the gun was found wrapped in a towel, put back together. Who escapes and puts a gun back together?” Campos-Duffy asked.

Kilmeade added: “He was walking stiff-legged, so they said the rifle was in his pants on his way to the campus. But where was it after that? Did he put it in a towel, throw it, pick it up later? How many times had he been on that roof before the day of the assassination? We don’t know.”

Campos-Duffy concluded that the certainty from officials this early raises doubts: “So much certainty out of that is what makes me uncertain.”
