Road to Avonlea Season 8 Theme

Описание: This is my interpretation of what the Season 8 theme for Road to Avonlea would have been like, had it continued for one additional season, with the story line remaining as it was through the end of season 7.

Based on the information from the final episode of the series, An Avonlea Christmas movie, and Anne of Green Gables the Continuing Story, here is what we know.

Jasper and Olivia have moved to England, thus Mag Ruffman is not in the opening credits. In her place I have moved Patricia Hamilton as a regular character. With Molly Atkinson portraying Cecily I figured there was room for her character development, as we saw in an Avonlea Christmas. Zachary Bennett did join the forces, however he has not enlisted in the war because Season 7 ended in 1912, therefore season 8 would have been around 1913 possibly going into 1914. I've added Heather Brown (Izzy) as a main character to develop more stories around her and Felix. Felicity and Gus were married and are running the foundling home, so I've added Gemma back to main cast, as she was only a guest star season 7, and finally made Michael Mahonen a regular. Davey (Kyle Labine) and Dora (Lindsay Murrell) were added to the main cast, and with the looming war, and Felix's enlisting, we know Davey enlists as is mentioned in Anne of Green Gables the Continuing Story, so maybe there will be some interest in the military shown by his character.

On a reoccurring character note Barbara Hamilton who played Eulalie Bugle died of breast cancer after season 7 was finished filming. We would therefore need to see a new sidekick for Clara Potts (Maja Ardal). Potential front runners would include, Mable Sloane played by Kay Hawtrey, her last appearance was season 5 episode 13, but she was in An Avonlea Christmas. Ada Hubble (Patricia Vanstone) who seems to be Hetty's nemesis in An Avonlea Christmas. Margaret Latham (Sandra Scott) was often seen with Eulalie Bugle, and Mrs. Inglis (Marilyn Boyd) was often seen with Clara Potts.
