I came up with the first verse of this ditty and thought I needed to create a form that had a slower/sadder beginning and a faster/happier second section or chorus.
I could not contort the words into a chorus but the second section functions very much as one. I used the sadder section from "T'was on a summer's evening" final verse (waste not want not).
This also fits (with a little wrangling of words) to The holly and the ivy. I shal post that version on here as well.
There are two options for repeats one of which is more continuous and the other which makes more of a stop/caesura between verses.
