The idea of recording this album has been maturing for the last ten years. This past 2025, everything fell into place, and the conditions for its realization were finally met. The album encompasses selected compositions from various periods of my creative work, composed within a timeframe spanning the last thirty-five years. While most of the material on this album has been previously recorded and released in very diverse musical forms and lineups, this is the first time these pieces have been fully realized in the formation of a classic acoustic jazz trio.

Looking back at the entire process of preparing and realizing this album, I can say today that I immensely enjoyed every segment of this journey. I thank all the participants from the bottom of my heart for what is, in my opinion, a very high-quality and fruitful collaboration. I sincerely hope that the story will not end with this album and that, in due time, the conditions will be met for the realization of its sequel.

You have your own compositions and you want to record an instrumental album in a jazz trio format. It is highly commendable that you are aiming for that "Scandinavian trio" sound—the standard set by e.s.t. (Esbjörn Svensson Trio), characterized by a specific combination of acoustic warmth, subtle electronics, and that "icy" Northern minimalism.

In essence, you want a minimalist album that "smells like jazz but isn't quite traditional jazz." You are looking for top-tier jazz musicians capable of masterfully performing minimalist forms without overcomplicating things. This will be a bit of a challenge, as there are few world-class musicians fully willing to subordinate their ego to the form. Good luck with your search!
