Matsyafed Palakkari fish farm and aqua tourism centre is situated in Chembu village, Vaikom, Kottayam district, Kerala state, India. This is a nice destination to spend a half day with family. The clean walkway along with the Vembanadu lake offers a view of stunning visual beauty. The ticket counter is near the entry gate itself. After taking tickets, you need a short drive to reach the parking area, though note that the parking area is small. There are two watch towers along the walkway.Walking beyond the restaurant area, you reach the children playing area with swings, see-saw etc. Also there are various types of boating available.
You reach the restaurant after walking sometime through the walkway. You can have some snacks before the meals. These are included in your ticket. The ticket charge is Rs 300 for people from 10 yrs onwards. Children below 10 yrs need only pay Rs 100. The ticket includes fish curry meals. If you need spacial items, you need to pay extra. Except for Sunday, the timing is 9.30 AM - 2.00 PM and 3.00 PM - 6.00 PM. On Sunday, it is 9.30 AM - 6.00 PM.
