Mustang Sally is an R&B song written and first recorded by Sir Mack Rice in 1965. The song gained greater popularity when Wilson Pickett covered it as a single the following year, 1966, which was also released on the “The Wicked Pickett” that year. Pickett's version climbed to #6 on the R&B charts and #23 on the Pop charts in 1966.

This is another tune popped up on my iTunes playlist, so I started to tinker around with it.
