In today's video, I'm planting my first spring and Summer containers for my patio, and I'm excited to bring some color to it.

When I plant my patio containers I focus on the Summer months because here in Texas, we go from Winter to summer heat with the blink of an eye, so I don’t spend my time trying to build out my pots with pansies and cooler temp annuals because by May I’d be changing them out again, and I’m not that girl lol.

My containers are a way for me to brighten up my space and bring the yard just a tad bit closer, and I love to fill them with just as many tropical colors as possible.

Because of our warm temps, I’m ok with skipping pastels and going straight to bold bright colors and I can’t wait for these pots to start to reflect all of it.

I secretly think I'm an island girl, so my patio containers help me make my infatuation with the Caribbean a reality right here at home.

In today's video I'll be cleaning up some plants I had from last year that I over wintered, adding a trailing combo pack from proven winners because it saved me money, and getting my hibiscus in the pot and ready for the season.

I don’t do a lot of containers back here because I don’t have the most space on my deck and under my patio, so I try to be as direct as possible and keep things simple but powerful if that makes sense.
