How to Troubleshoot a Leaky Vinyl Liner Pond

After all was said and done it was leaking in three spots - one small leak in the upper pond liner, one larger leak in a hose from the lower pond to the upper pond, and the worst leak that was in the water fall section. Several folks have asked what the fix was. This video was mainly about how to go about troubleshooting a multi-section pond. But here is what I found with my pond: I had two issues - one was with the connection up at the top of the pond where the pipe connects in. I added an extra clamp and tightened it until the leak stopped there. The second issue with a rodent (probably a squirrel) chewed holes in the upper pond liner right at the stream. The holes were high enough that I did not lose water when the pump was off. When the pump was on it raised the water level an inch and that is when I was losing water out of those holes. Because the water got pumped from the lower pond up to the upper pond, the water level went down on the lower pond and stayed at the same level on the upper pond even though the upper pond is where I was losing all the water.
