In relation to the accounts from the life of the Holy Prophet (sa), the Battle of Uhud was being mentioned. Further details in this regard are as follows. When the Holy Prophet (sa) set up camp in the plains of Uhud, the mountain of Uhud was behind the Muslim army, which was protecting the Muslim army from the back. However, there was a mountain pass in another direction, which could give the enemy an opportunity to launch an attack from there.
As such, assessing this risk and danger, the Holy Prophet (sa) appointed Abdullah bin Jubair as the commander of a unit of 50 companions as archers and assigned them to this mountain pass. With regards to the guidance the Holy Prophet (sa) gave to these archers, the following words are found in Bukhari:

“If you see that the vultures are tearing away at our remains, do not move from this place of yours until I send for you and if you see that we have defeated the enemy and overcome them, even then do not move until I instruct you.”
