CONVERSION
The true belief is her own brand,
Exclusively.
Disguised in venerable names:
Self-sacrifice, brotherly love, duty,
Destined, in fact, to patiently
Impose.
Goddess to those secretly absorbed
By lust
To override the opposition, to indelibly stamp
One’s will in others’ sanctuaries.
The craving of power in Conversion’s eyes
Became to those who submissively caught it:
Their own light.
It’s the defenseless, the friendless,
The exhausted
Who watch Conversion feast upon their will,
Smite the dissentient out, take the decisions
One would dare and have not.
