Lower eyelid laxity is a highly prevalent yet often overlooked condition associated with the natural aging process. It can lead to
impaired blinking, a key contributing factor of dry eye disease (DED), and more than doubles the risk of severe ocular surface
symptoms. Until recently, treatment options for patients with lid issues have been limited to conservative approaches such as
nighttime ointments, taping, and blinking exercises—or in more severe cases, surgery.
To close this treatment gap, Lumenis, the inventor of intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy, has introduced another disruptive innovation in
