Final leg of our road trip takes us to Kwan Phayao, where we explore the lively Sunday morning lakeside market.
From breakfast stalls and coffee by the water to a beautiful alms-giving ceremony with monks floating past in a wooden boat, the atmosphere is calm and memorable.
Later, we visit friends at their farm and enjoy lunch in town before continuing toward Chiang Mai.
Along the way, a striking mountaintop temple catches our eye — Wat Prachao Lai. We stop to explore its unique golden pagoda and take in the stunning views before heading home.
