Definitely a grand day out. The PiTTstop Cafe is new and better than I expected. Being local to me, I'm ashamed I haven't been since it opened late last year. The owner of Lancaster Motorcycles, Justin, has worked hard on the place and I recommend their big breakfast at a not-so-big price.
From there, we headed out towards the western lake district.
After some banana cake and coffee at The Square Cafe in Broughton, we went via Birker Fell to Hardknott and Wrynose passes. I've done East to West 3 times but this time we went West to East. It's just as challenging.
The beautiful Langdale Valley was our next route then on to Ambleside and home.
