Описание: Janet Tonkins is a real estate developer, investor, coach, teacher, mentor, author, speaker and philanthropist whose daily life is guided by her Christian faith.

In her hometown, she is known as “the Real Estate Diva of Baltimore” and “the Cashflow Diva,” but those nicknames only hint at her considerable accomplishments which are all the more remarkable considering she grew up in poverty. Today, Tonkins has more than 100 residential properties in her portfolio, adding as many as four new acquisitions each month, and very much enjoys sharing her knowledge with other real estate investors who want to build their empires.

She is Co-founder and CFO of A*R*T Enterprises, a family-owned real-estate acquisition, development, and management company. Some of the bigger projects she has completed are the part-ownership of three $110 million biotech labs, a 150-unit apartment building, a parking garage, and the sale of 79 luxury homes, all in the vicinity of where Johns Hopkins Hospital is located in Baltimore. In Patterson, N.J., where she grew up, Tonkins and her husband developed a $37 million apartment building that houses grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. That project allowed them to be the first Black developers to build from the ground up in that city.

She has bought, sold, rehabbed, and managed over $700 million in single-family houses and multi-unit apartment buildings in Paterson, N.J., Baltimore, Md., Atlanta, Ga., and Jacksonville, Fla.
Before her retirement, Tonkins spent 35 years working for Verizon Communications with her last position as a contracts manager working on state and federal government contracts.

She is an executive board member of the Baltimore Real Estate Investment Association; chairwoman, and coordinator of the SAVVY Women’s Investment Meeting; and a member of the Baltimore City HABC Advisory Board.

Janet has spoken at wealth symposiums throughout Maryland, has been featured in the RealtyTrac, Newsletter, BREIA newsletter, and most recently, the October 18, 2022 issue of The USA Today Newspaper as a Game-Changer. Her book, The Turning Point, was released by Celebrity Press LLC in October,2022.
