Historian Bill Speck and Paul Myres contributes to this mini-series documentary as to what Thomas Paine was doing in Lewes, in East Sussex.
Richard Vobes is TV's Bald Explorer an in this series of mini episodes he is in Lewes seeking the history, myths and legends of the town. Thomas Paine, author of the Rights of Man and Common Sense lived in Lewes from 1768 and ran a tabaconists shop. You can still visit the places this revolutionary and author would have frequented, including the White Hart Inn.
