This upgrade wasn't cheap but its a quality piece of equipment.
We opted for the QG-65 size as it was the smallest one that would take the 1.5" square bar.
It will take up to 2.66 round bar. or 1.750 square.
The collets are not cheap either but we figure this will save us about 35 hours of machine time on this job alone. Not from the quick change collet really but for being able to accurately hold the 1.5" bar in the Okuma instead of 4 jaw on the manual lathe. This will allow us to cut way faster and have much better accuracy and no hand work on the finished parts along with saving setup time on each part in a 4 jaw.
