My prayer and desire is to know the truth. I’ve asked God to break off anything that isn’t truly from Him or anything that I’ve confused by taking on societal systems as truth.

One thing I’ve noticed is that “ministry” in any sense of the word isn’t designed to “fulfill” us. So when we look to it seeking fulfillment and end up wondering why we CAN feel as empty as we did before pursuing things from our past… it can get confusing.

The Lord had to show me it’s not about looking to ministry to fulfill me, ministry is actually all about service and sometimes service doesn’t FEEL fulfilling. That’s ok because it didn’t create you so it cannot fulfill you.

I was looking for ministry to be the answer to it all but it came up short EVERY TIME. There’s blessing in service and seeing someone come to know the Lord because of a step you took in faith is UNPARALLELED, but even that can’t fill the void only He can.

This path to finding truth has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Most times I’m running into a brick wall thinking “ THIS IS IT” only to find that it’s not.

Doesn’t mean it’s wrong, but maybe there’s another way.
Freedom + Fatherhood is what He continues to return me to. Sometimes it feels wrong or backwards, but that’s simply a system being broken off to create space for what is.
