He urged the faithful to keep away from the negative effects of polarization and raise voices for the voiceless and the marginalized. The Holy Father also reminded that democracy is and must be connected to the values of brotherhood and integral ecology. The Pontiff spent some cordial moments with the children of Trieste, whom he blessed. The Pope concluded the visit with a solemn celebration of the Holy Mass at Unity Square.
