In the wake of globalization, rural communities around the world are being abandoned, from the American Midwest to the mountain villages of Europe. The small Tuscan village of Tatti is also threatened with extinction, until Swiss filmmaker Rudi Gerber arrives, and his friendship with the remaining villagers sparks a quiet revival. Together with other newcomers, the villagers begin to restore the abandoned land and create a new way of life in Tatti. TATTI IN THE WORLD tells the story of the resilience and rebirth of abandoned communities at the juncture when old and new forces collide.
