About the Webinar
The Institute of South Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore (ISAS-NUS) and the Pathfinder Foundation, Sri Lanka, are convening a webinar on the domestic politics of South Asia, with special emphasis on Sri Lanka. The event will assemble local and overseas-based experts to provide in-depth insights into the current political landscape, socio-economic challenges and broader regional dynamics.
This webinar aligns with ISAS-NUS and the Pathfinder Foundation’s mission by offering a platform for experts to analyse and discuss the pressing political and socio-economic issues facing Sri Lanka and their implications for the broader South Asian region. The webinar will critically examine the complexities of Sri Lanka’s domestic politics amidst significant economic challenges and socio-political transformations. As Sri Lanka navigates through crucial economic recovery programmes in 2024, the country also has to contend with rising populist sentiments.
