DALTONGANJ JUBILEE CROSS STARTS ITS JOURNEY TO THE PARISHES: "WE HAVE BROUGHT THE CROSS OF BLESSINGS"- .BISHOP THEODORE
The 2025 jubilee cross left the Shanti ki Rani Cathedral, Daltonganj today to begin it's journey in the parishes. After prayers in the Cathedral led by Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas SFX, the Bishop of Daltonganj the Jubilee Cross began its journey to its first Destination in the Chiropath Parish behind the Lodh falls on the Chatisgarh border at 9 AM. The cross accompanied by the Bishop halted at many stops by the roadside as the faithful gathered to pay homage to the cross and receive the blessing. It was received by people at Chipadohar, Garu, Maromar, Mayapur, Chetma, Bhaskarchya, Botta, Rajdanda, St. Xavier’s College and Mahuadanr before it continued its journey over the hill to Chiropath. Mahuadanr St. Joseph School was a special stop where hundreds of children gathered to receive the cross. Earlier in the day, the Bishop had decreed that the St. Joseph Church, Mahuadanr, Shanti ki Maharani Cathedral, Daltonganj and Mary, Help of Christian Church, Kanjia as the Jubilee Churches for the plenary indulgences of the Jubilee. Bishop Theodore blessed each of the groups that had gathered along the roadside.
The Cross received a solemn welcome in Chiropath Parish where it will be kept in adoration for a whole week before being taken to Gothgaon.
