Elliot builds an IP Engineering Rapier Loco Kit bought from Ivan at Leamington Spa Garden Railway Show. It was a fairly easy build and Dad didn't have to help much at all.
It runs fairly slowly but it looks the part. Elliot is building a set of little wagons to go with it and I've made a tiny brake van to complete the set. I'm sure that they will feature in a future video.
Elliot took great care to photograph the build and chose the music to go with the photos. Dad had to do the editing and spent longer fiddling about than the model took to build and paint.
The exhaust was added to the kit by Elliot and it really sets it off. The battery box doesn't quite fit but it doesn't look too out of place. The orange colour was a choice based on what was cheapest at Halfords. We think it looks good.
The music is called Sunshine or Adagio in D Minor by John Murphy. It comes from the 2007 Danny Boyle film of the same name.
