World Leprosy Day: 'Not Just Disease, We Have To Fight Stigma Too' | The Quint

Описание: World Leprosy Day is celebrated on 30 January every year to spread awareness and to end the stigma and discrimination related to it. India is home to the world's largest leprosy patients within the world. On an average, 57 people per 10 lakh population in India are diagnosed with the disease. One such cluster of individuals live at Lok Matha Kusht Ashram colony in Delhi’s West Patel Nagar. Citizen journalist Jaya Reddy takes us to the homes of these patients and the problems they have to face.
