Interaction Design MA students learn the basics of design thinking, application building and anthropological and ethnographic theories. After a few weeks of theory, in the first semester we organise an intensive 3-4 day anthropological field trip to - rural - Hungary, where students can interact with different communities and try themselves in different situations.

The course is designed to help students understand not only the purpose and use of design, but also the user. We want to focus on the human aspect of design so that our students can learn the importance of understanding their users.

The Mastering IxD - The Human Aspect course was taught by our external lecturer, Ákos Csertán, in the autumn semester of 2023/2024. The field trip was co-led by our visiting professor, Dr Michael Leube, who teaches the anthropological and ethnographic theories of the course alongside Ákos Csertán.
