Avoid Inflections in Curve Through Points | Creo 12

Описание: In Creo 12, the “Curve Through Points” feature can create a geometrically enhanced curve for typical geometric situations to reduce inflections in the created geometric shape.

This new type of curve is created under the following conditions:
• The curve is created as a single segment (without inner line & arc segments)
• The curve is defined with at least one tangency, normal or curvature condition at the ends and not using the “place curve on surface option”
• The feature is a feature created in this new Creo version. There is no upgrade of legacy features.
When these conditions apply, Creo creates a higher quality geometry curve (B-spline of degree 5) to reduce the likelihood of generating inflections (S-shape geometry) during creation and modification.


This functionality is available in Creo+ as of February 2025, and became available for on-premises Creo 12 around May 2025.
