“URI: The Surgical Strike” is a 2019 Indian military action film directed by Aditya Dhar. Synopsis:

The film follows Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, an Indian Army officer known for his strategic skills and leadership. After a successful mission in Myanmar, Vihaan is given a desk job in New Delhi to be closer to his mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. However, after a deadly terrorist attack on an Indian Army base in Uri, Vihaan requests to return to active duty to avenge the fallen soldiers.

The government of India decides to retaliate with a surgical strike, and Vihaan is chosen to lead the mission. The film delves into the planning, preparation, and execution of the covert operation, showcasing the challenges and risks involved. Vihaan and his team of elite commandos embark on the high-stakes mission, crossing the LoC to eliminate the terrorists responsible for the Uri attack.
