Two travelers. Ten days. No plans — just the wish to feel free.
This is Balkan Rails — a raw and cinematic freight train journey across Montenegro and Serbia.
Starting in Podgorica, we travel south to the Adriatic Sea, then back through the mountains and valleys of Montenegro, crossing into Serbia by hopping freight trains.
Along the way, we meet stray dogs, camp in hidden places, escape from railway workers, and discover peaceful villages deep in the Balkans.
What began as a random idea between two strangers on the internet turned into one of the most intense and beautiful adventures we’ve ever experienced.
