Why I Don't Talk Politics (Much)

Описание: In this video I give a pretty in depth explanation about why I do my best to disregard political conversations. This ties into productivity and happiness in my opinion.

One of the things I've learned in the past 20 years, going from a broke twenty something to having the freedom to travel and run my business from anywhere, is that the things you focus on and talk about really impact the rest of your life. I can tell you this: I talked about social issues and politics a LOT more in my 20s and early 30s when I wasn't this focused and satisfied with my own life than I do now.

I have nothing against these topics I just find that for most people they turn into a major distraction from goals and meaningful purpose in life. Some people might say well politics is all about bettering the world and that is how someone finds meaning - I disagree unless that person is actually rounding up a not for profit or taking some massive bold action in that arena.

Most of the time people are just talking, complaining, projecting, and generating a lot of gossip.

This is the first time other than my opinion on college I've even brushed up against the topic. What do you think?
