John Leslie leaves Blue Peter. If you're wondering why he's dressed like that the whole programme was his "final challenge", which involved abseiling down TV Centre and conducting an orchestra amongst other things.
Followed by Toby Anstis in the broom cupboard and "aardvark anoraks", which came out of the "tell that aardvark..." voiceover in the closing ident and of course eventually led to the creation of Otis.
