NEET PG Counselling 2021: Centre Demands Supreme Court To Urgently Schedule EWS Quota Hearing

Описание: Centre demands the Supreme Court to urgently hear the case relating to reservation of Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in NEET admissions for Post Graduate medical courses. Citing "some urgency" the Centre urged the Supreme Court to schedule a hearing of EWS quota matter related to NEET-PG admissions. Earlier, the central government decided to go ahead with Rs 8 lakh as the annual income limit to avail of the economically weaker section (EWS) quota concerning the ongoing admissions to the NEET PG 2021 counselling process. The criteria may be adopted from the next admission cycle. A letter petition filed in the Supreme Court requested that the scheduled hearing in a case involving setting the EWS quota in NEET-PG admissions be moved up.
