I Am Installing an Inverter/Charger on My Boat, Why Do I Have to Install a Switch on the DC Side?

Many boaters do not understand why this is such a life or death question. Thorsten asks, "Thanks a lot for your great videos and all the info you share, I have learned so much. I purchased a Victron Multiplus inverter/charger. In your videos, you state very clearly that you should build in an inverter switch on the DC side to secure the AC in case of necessary work. The manual (yes I read it) does not request it. And if I toggle the switch on the inverter to off, there is no load on the AC side. What is the reason for the second cut-off?"
