Jersey is home to some of the largest tidal ranges in the world, where the sea can retreat by up to 40 feet and reveal a vast, lunar-like shoreline full of marine life. In this family low-water fishing adventure, we explore several traditional lobster and crustacean spots along the Jersey coast, turning rocks and searching the exposed reefs as the tide falls.

Along the way we share a few light-hearted family moments, including Scarlett taking the lead behind the camera, plenty of laughs, and the excitement of discovering what lives beneath the rocks. During this session we encounter a small lobster (returned safely to grow another day), scallops, and a wide variety of shoreline sea life that demonstrates just how rich these tidal flats can be.

Low-water fishing has been practised on these shores for generations, combining knowledge of tides, habitat, and careful handling of the marine environment. Join us as we continue exploring the Jersey coastline, sharing traditional techniques, secret spots, and family adventures along the way.
