Butten Chicken Potli Samosa
Servings : 20 samosas or potlis
Ingredients:
For butter chicken :
-Boneless chicken-500 gms
-Yogurt 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 & ½ tsp or to taste
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
-Turmeric powder 1 tsp
-Garam masala powder 1tsp
-Cooking oil 2 tbs
-Onion chopped 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
-Tomato chopped 1 cup
-Lemon juice 2 tbs
-Butter 4 tbs
-Cream 2 tbs
Dried fenugreek leaves ½ tbs
-Cooking oil for frying
for the dough:
-All-purpose flour -2 Cups
-Salt - 1 tsp
-Oil -2 tbsp
Water- ½ Cup or as required
Directions:
For the dough:
1.Add the flour ,salt, oil and water.
2. Knead well and cover with damp kitchen cloth.
3.Let it sit for 30 mins.
For marination:
1.In a bowl, add boneless chicken , yogurt, ,red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, curry masala powder ,mix well and marinate for 15 minutes.
2.In a frying pan , add oil and fry the chicken
3.Keep it separately in a bowl and shred the chicken.
For gravy :
1.In pot, add 2 TBSP butter , onion and fry until translucent.
2.Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
3.Add tomatoes ,mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
4.Add 1 Tsp cumin ,coriander, chilli ,turmeric & garam masala
5. Add salt and mix well.
6.Let it cool , add little water and blend well.
7.Add 1 TBSP butter in the pot and add 1TSP kashmiri chilli powder
8.Mix well and sieve the blended gravy .
9.Add the fried and shredded chicken into the gravy
10.Add 2 TBSP cooking cream
11. Mix and add fresh coriander leaves and butter
12.Add crushed dried fenugreek leaves
For making samosa :
-Sprinkle flour and roll out the dough with the help of rolling pin.
-Cut into round shape with the help of the cutter,add filling and bring all the edges to form a shape of potli.
-Take one strip, and carefully tie around the neck of the potli.Repeat the same for all the potlis (makes 20).
-Can be stored in freezer for up to 2 weeks.
-In wok ,heat cooking oil and fry on low flame until golden brown.
Serve it hot and enjoy !
