In the depths of inspiration, "उमा | uma"emerges as a tribute to the ethereal essence of water nymphs and the timeless elegance of the desi bride. Inspired by ancient tales of deities descending from the heavens to enthrall mortals, Uma embodies the allure and sophistication of femininity.

This two month long project, created for my portfolio, gave me an insight into the world of contemporary Indian wedding ceremonies, old age deities and also allowed me to experiment with patterns and textures.

In the final fashion film, we witness the enchanting moments preceding the bridal ceremony, as our young desi bride gazes into the azure depths of the water, finding solace and connection. Even as she steps into matrimony, she remains tethered to the mystical allure of the water, a symbol of eternal grace and resilience.
